The best way to teach science and social studies is to do hands on activities. This provides a great opportunity to learn oral language skills. Language is like a web. Words and concepts and ideas all connect together. The more connections there are, the better the child can understand. We can use science to develop ideas, concepts, and words in fun interactive ways.
