Transportation- Children learn about different kinds of transportation through experimentation, art, and dramatic play. Here are a few of the fun activities in this unit:
- Experimentation: Explore the benefits of wheels and axels by trying them out!
- Dramatic Play: Learn to categorize different vehicles and vehicle parts by running a repair shop.
- Art: Make a class train.
- Experimentation: Go on a leaf hunt and discover the wide color range of leaves.
- Dramatic Play: Visit an imaginary paint shop.
- Art: Create a flower garden using color combinations.
- Experimentation: Play with wind using an electric fan.
- Dramatic Play: Make different storm sounds together.
- Art: Children become weather men/women and make a weather calendar.
- Experimentation: Categorize items that people use.
- Dramatic Play: Act out things people can do as they grow.
- Art: Play hairdresser.
- Experimentation: Practice simple exercises while talking about different parts of the body.
