Developing reading fluency...
Reading fluency helps children to be much more likely to understand and enjoy what they are reading than if they are stumbling along or reading very slowly. For this reason, it is very important to help children develop fluency in reading and writing.

How to help children develop these concepts and skills
- Reread books several times. .
- Choose a section of the book and time the child in reading that section. Then, after practicing a few times, time the child again.
- Make sure to review any decoding confusions that are leading to accuracy problems.
