How to teach sight words –General tips

general tipsIt is very important to teach sight words when teaching reading.  We discuss many how-to’s, how to improve fluency, and non-decodable words on other pages of this site. 

A few other points to remember:.

  1. Use short frequent practices rather than long.
  2. Directly teach words and then practice, practice, practice, and did I mention practice!
